Copyright license contract is a written legal document which is made between two parties, one of which owns a particular thing or product or piece of creativity and the other who wishes to use the former’s particular belonging or creation. This contract consists of terms and conditions which are enforceable by law.

Sample copyright license contract

This contract has been made by and between Mr. Daniel Roosevelt who is hereafter called as the Licensor and Mr. Rupert Kudrow who is hereafter referred to as the Licensee of the contract.

This contract has been brought into effect on 12th July 2011 and has been drafted on 10th July 2011.

Terms and conditions:


This contract shall terminate 12 months after effective date which is 12th July 2012

  • The licensee agrees to pay a total amount of $25000 to the licensor for the design.
  • The licensee agrees to use the design only under his name and registration and cannot hand over the details of the design to any third party.
